Copenhagen Harbour – East side walk

The harbour area of Copenhagen is a great place for a good walk. You can take the entire circle of 10 km’s or just finish a shorter section.

When I am in the mood for a quiet walk I walk along the eastern side of the harbour. The east side can be said to be the quiet side where there are less restaurants and people hanging out. Some might say it is the boring side. However, it has the advantage of peace and quiet if you need a rest from the hustle and bustle of the western side at Islands Brygge.

You will find two harbour baths along the way. The one called ‘The wave’ (Bølgen), which opened up for swimming in 2019. Walk a little further and you will find the harbour bath at Copenhagen Mall (Fisketorvet), which is right next to the mall. Combine shopping, eating and bathing!

As on the western side there are several opportunities for taking a dip – if you are up for it. You can swim at ‘Bølgen’, which was opened up for swimming in 2019.
